The Restaurant Manager position at Eataly is a key role that supports the Assistant General Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant's front-of-house team. This full-time role offers an annual salary in the range of $65,000 to $70,000 and is designed for a candidate passionate about hospitality, leadership, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Restaurant Manager oversees various team members, including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks, ensuring that service standards are consistently met and operational efficiency is maintained.
In this role, the Restaurant Manager plays a critical part in hiring, training, evaluating, and, if necessary, terminating employees. They are responsible for investigating and resolving employee and guest incidents and ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards in dining and storage areas. A deep understanding of restaurant operations is required, including supervising inventory intake, estimating front-of-house food and beverage needs, and reviewing financial metrics such as sales, costs, and inventory to help monitor the restaurant's budget.
Additionally, the Restaurant Manager collaborates closely with the dining room and bar staff to plan restaurant activities and special events, promoting a team-oriented culture while sharing vital information for smooth operations. This role requires a flexible schedule with availability to work onsite, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain mobility through various postures over extended periods.

Job Requirements
- availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
- food handler's license preferred
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years experience leading or managing front-of-house restaurant team
- understanding of steps of service
- outstanding communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- bachelor or associate degree in restaurant management or hospitality preferred
- knowledge of Italian cuisine and beverage highly preferred
Job Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Assistant General Manager in daily restaurant operations
- oversee front-of-house staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks
- support hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating employees
- document, investigate, escalate and resolve employee and guest incidents
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in dining and storage areas
- estimate front-of-house food and beverage needs and supervise order intake
- review sales, inventory and cost information to monitor budget
- plan restaurant activities and special events with dining room and bar personnel
- perform other assigned duties
