Job Description

Eataly is the world's largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, known for its unique approach to showcasing Italian culinary culture. Unlike a traditional chain, each Eataly location is distinct, carrying its own character and theme while maintaining a consistent mission: to provide guests with authentic Italian experiences. Eataly offers a variety of services including full-service restaurants, cafés, to-go counters, and retail selections of high-quality Italian, local, and homemade products. They also provide educational opportunities through classes and knowledgeable staff to enhance customer understanding and appreciation of Italian cuisine and products.

As a Restaurant Manager at Eataly, you play a crucial role in supporting the Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) in overseeing the daily operations of the full-service restaurants. This position demands leadership and management skills as you supervise the front-of-house staff comprising servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks. You are responsible for ensuring that all employees deliver exceptional service standards consistently and that all restaurant activities are executed efficiently. Your duties include hiring, training, evaluating, and, when necessary, terminating staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations through routine inspections, managing food and beverage inventory, and monitoring financial performance to keep operations within budget.

This role requires an individual who is motivated, highly organized, and committed to maintaining the quality and authenticity of Eataly's dining experience. The successful candidate will engage with dining room and bar personnel to plan restaurant activities and special events, foster open communication, and uphold a positive working environment. Eataly values its restaurant management team for their ability to handle guest and employee incidents professionally and with discretion.

The Restaurant Manager position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $70,000 yearly and requires flexibility in working hours, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about Italian food culture and hospitality, looking to advance their career within a renowned international marketplace. Eataly promotes equal employment opportunities and welcomes diversity in its workforce, ensuring a respectful and inclusive working environment.
