Job Description
The Turning Point is a renowned and award-winning daytime-only restaurant that has been serving exceptional culinary experiences for 28 years. With operational hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Turning Point prioritizes work-life balance, allowing its employees to enjoy their evenings and spend quality time with their families. This unique schedule is intentionally designed to eliminate the need for night shifts, a benefit that sets the company apart from most restaurants. The Turning Point has expanded its footprint with locations across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, and Virginia. This growth strategy includes both corporate-owned locations and franchised stores, offering exciting opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a well-respected and stable organization. The company’s commitment to professionalism is evident in its hiring practices, seeking energetic, hard-working individuals who may or may not have prior restaurant experience but share a passion for learning, leading, and delivering exceptional guest service. Employees are valued and appreciated through various forms of recognition, including company picnics, dinner outings, additional paid time off, manager workshops, gifts, birthday announcements, and other tokens of gratitude, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace. Respect is a core value at Turning Point, demonstrated through a comprehensive managerial training program for new hires. Employees receive ongoing support with weekly and biweekly follow-ups from upper management and human resources, ensuring a positive training experience and thorough understanding of all Turning Point systems. This collaborative culture sets the stage for mutual respect among staff and leadership alike. Upon completion of training, managers are entrusted with individual store operations, with assistance and guidance from district managers. Leadership is a key element of the role, with an emphasis placed on team management and guest satisfaction to maintain the high standards Turning Point is known for. The overarching philosophy of the company aligns with the inspiring words of Mark Twain: "Great people are those who make others feel that they, too, can become great." This belief underscores the supportive and motivating environment created at Turning Point. Regarding the specific management role, the position entails overseeing one daytime shift only, ensuring no double shifts or late-night responsibilities, which allows for a healthier work-life balance. Managers work alongside both front-of-house and back-of-house staff, conducting a full inventory periodically, and maintain transparency regarding the financial performance of their restaurant, which ties directly to their performance-based compensation. The company provides fully integrated technology solutions and values timely and respectful communication that respects employees’ personal time. Opportunities for relocation exist within the states where Turning Point operates, adding flexibility for career growth. Responsibilities also include recruiting and retaining outstanding team members, promoting equity and equality among staff, fostering growth opportunities for employees, and delivering a consistently excellent guest experience from start to finish. The compensation range for this role is $55,000 to $65,000 annually, with the potential to earn additional income through thirteen performance-based bonus payments throughout the year. Turning Point offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and discounts on meals for employees and their families. The company strongly encourages applicants to consider this unique managerial opportunity that promises a fulfilling, professional career without the typical demands of night shifts or opened/closed split shifts. Located at 5016 State Rd, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, Turning Point welcomes motivated individuals ready to embark on an enriching journey within a company that genuinely values respect, gratitude, and teamwork.
