Job Description
Flanigan's is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, renowned for its excellence and beloved as a South Florida institution since 1959. With a strong presence in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, Flanigan's has become synonymous with quality dining experiences and exceptional service. The restaurant chain continues to expand, adding more units and seeking experienced professionals who are eager to grow and prosper within the company. This well-established brand prides itself on fostering a family-oriented and professional environment where employees can develop their careers in the restaurant industry. Flanigan's commitment to excellence extends beyond its food and service to cultivating leadership and management that uphold the company's high standards.
The role of Hiring Manager at Flanigan's is a critical leadership position responsible for managing restaurant operations and leading teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences. Managers play an essential role in maintaining communication between kitchen staff and management, overseeing staff performance evaluations, and attending regular meetings to ensure alignment with company goals and policies. This position requires flexibility, as managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from their current restaurant location and must be open to transferring to different geographical locations as needed. Flanigan's is open 365 days a year, so managers must demonstrate scheduling flexibility to meet the demands of the restaurant.
Successful candidates must possess current food management certification and a strong ownership mentality, taking pride in contributing to the company’s ongoing success. The role involves hands-on responsibilities such as reading and writing reports in English, adhering to health code standards, performing basic math and computer tasks, and ensuring compliance with all company policies regarding dress, grooming, and operational procedures. Physical stamina and mobility are also important, as managers should be able to stand, move about for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Flanigan's fosters a supportive work environment offering competitive salaries, benefits, and opportunities for advancement based on performance rather than tenure. Hiring Managers enjoy a five-day workweek with two consecutive days off, paid vacation after set service milestones, health insurance options including medical and dental, 401K enrollment with immediate eligibility for those 21 and over, personal days, and free shift meals. This role is ideal for professionals who are motivated to lead and grow within a well-established and respected restaurant brand in the South Florida market.
