With a foundation deeply entwined in service, hospitality, and community giving, Chili's is committed to celebrating a culture of fun and delivering an exceptional dining experience to every guest, every day. As a leader in the casual dining industry, Chili's has built a loyal customer base by combining quality food, signature flavors, and genuine hospitality in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.
This position is for a Chili's Manager, a role designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and leadership within the restaurant environment. Chili's managers are truly wired for hospitality; they understand that the business is about people and know how to make each guest and team member feel special. The ideal manager thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is motivated by the desire to connect with both guests and team members, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual success. At Chili's, managers are not only expected to drive top business results—they are also encouraged to have fun while doing it, maintaining a positive and engaging environment that reflects the brand's culture of fun.
The Manager's responsibilities are broad and impactful, playing a vital role in the restaurant's daily operations and long-term success. As a critical link between the front-line team, guests, and organizational goals, managers lead by example, role modeling desired behaviors and holding team members accountable to operational and quality standards. They use Chili's systematic approach, including tools like the Manager Timeline and quality Line Checks, to ensure operational excellence and cost control. Beyond operational duties, managers are charged with fostering open communication within the team, identifying and addressing the root causes of issues with accountability and transparency, and championing change and new initiatives. They also have an essential role in hiring, training, retaining, and developing team members to grow into larger roles, thereby strengthening the restaurant's talent pool.
In addition to internal team management, Chili's managers actively drive guest engagement by creating welcoming experiences and building relationships within their community. Safety is also a priority, with managers expected to understand and enforce safe food handling procedures, ensuring guests receive not only great-tasting food but also safe and high-quality meals. The culture of Chili's is one where every guest counts, food perfection is the standard, accountability is expected, and having fun while working ('Play Restaurant') is embraced. This well-rounded approach ensures that managers are well-equipped to lead their teams effectively, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and meet financial responsibilities.
The employment type is full-time, with a competitive yearly salary range of $60,000 to $65,000, reflecting the level of responsibility and expertise required for this managerial role. The role is ideal for dependable team players who enjoy working in fast-paced environments and excel at multitasking, making it perfect for candidates who are ready to take on a leadership challenge within a vibrant and growth-oriented company.
