This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 annually. In this leadership position, you will oversee the operations and financial performance of three retail foodservice locations on campus. The role requires you to ensure compliance with contract guidelines, health regulations, and company standards while maintaining high levels of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
The Retail Food Service Manager will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day operations including staff supervision, cash handling, payroll, and customer service training. Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or Associate degree with related experience
- one to three years of retail operational foodservice management experience
- knowledge of food quality, sanitation, and food cost control
- strong supervisory and leadership abilities
- communication skills
- proficiency in computer applications
- ability to handle cash and payroll accurately
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- ability to generate reports and meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or Associate degree plus three years of related experience preferred
- one to three years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred
- good knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation
- P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable
- experience with cash retail operations
- retail marketing experience
- supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to communicate across management, customer, and associate levels
- knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices
- proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and Internet
Job Duties
- Plan and supervise special functions
- maintain cash controls and payroll records
- oversee hiring and training of associates
- ensure customer satisfaction and positive public relations
- direct staff to provide scheduled retail services
- train associates in customer service, portioning, cashier skills, and safety/sanitation
- complete required reports on time
- communicate effectively with team members, clients, and students
- implement and maintain cash handling standards
