Job Description
The Restaurant Manager role at Wendy's is a key leadership position responsible for managing the daily restaurant operations and leading a talented team to success. Reporting directly under the General Manager, the Restaurant Manager's main focus is on staffing, training, and scheduling, which are crucial to building and retaining a high-performing 5-star team. This individual acts as a mentor and role model, embodying the values known as Dave's Legacies, and ensures that every crew member understands how to delight customers with excellent service. The Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in coaching and developing team members, creating a positive and engaging work environment where employees feel respected and motivated. In addition to people management, this role involves overseeing operational aspects of the restaurant to maintain high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction. The Restaurant Manager is expected to handle challenging tasks such as optimizing shift schedules, supporting shift managers and crew members, and driving sales and profit goals. This role requires hands-on involvement and a proactive approach to daily challenges, including managing staffing needs, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining equipment functionality. Ideal candidates will have at least a few years of leadership experience, preferably in a foodservice environment, and hold a high school diploma or GED, with some college or military experience viewed favorably. Flexibility to travel to other locations and the physical ability to perform duties such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds are essential requirements. Job Requirements
- Minimum of years of experience leading people
- Some college experience or military background preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and lift 25 to 50 pounds
