Job Description

Yard House is a dynamic restaurant chain known for its unique blend of great food, classic rock music, and an extensive selection of craft beers. As part of the well-established Darden Family of Restaurants, the world's largest casual dining company, Yard House offers a vibrant atmosphere where great service meets an engaging dining experience. With over 85 locations nationwide and ambitions for growth across the country, Yard House is committed to creating workplaces that inspire and empower its team members. This commitment is deeply reflected in the company's culture, which emphasizes quality of life, career growth, and a supportive, fun working environment. At Yard House, the focus extends beyond just serving food and drinks – it’s about continually delivering epic experiences to guests while maintaining a workplace that team members are excited to be part of.

The role of the Restaurant Manager at Yard House is pivotal and uniquely rewarding. As a Restaurant Manager, you will lead the charge in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that every guest has consistently outstanding experiences. This position requires not only operational expertise but also a passion for leadership and team development. The Restaurant Manager acts as the ringleader, orchestrating a seamless balance between culinary excellence, guest satisfaction, and team motivation. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant environment and possesses a strong dedication to customer service and team leadership.

Yard House values managers who bring proven experience and a passion for hospitality. The role comes with a competitive salary that varies by location and includes weekly pay and quarterly bonus eligibility, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding excellence and hard work. Work-life balance is also a priority, with a commitment to a maximum of 50 hours per week and at least two days off. The company also provides generous paid time off, offering up to three weeks off within the first year of employment, alongside immediate eligibility for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional benefits include a company 401(k) plan with a substantial matching program, a retirement benefit, and an employee stock purchase program with a significant discount available after one year of service.

The Restaurant Manager position offers tremendous room for growth, echoing Yard House’s philosophy of promoting from within. In fact, 99% of the company’s General Managers, Executive Chefs, and Directors of Operations have advanced from internal positions, and 60% of Restaurant Managers have risen through the ranks from team member roles. This career path underscores the company’s dedication to nurturing talent and providing opportunities for professional advancement. If you have a strong background in restaurant management, a passion for culinary and guest service excellence, and the capability to lead and inspire a team, Yard House offers a dynamic, supportive, and rewarding environment to advance your career.
