Job Description
Chuy's is a vibrant and iconic restaurant chain that has been delighting guests with authentic, made-from-scratch Tex-Mex cuisine since its founding in 1982 in Austin, Texas. Renowned for its lively and colorful atmosphere, Chuy's prides itself on offering not only delicious food but also a fun and memorable dining experience. The unique ambiance is characterized by playful decor elements such as hand-carved wooden fish "swimming" from the ceiling and shiny hubcaps adorning the booths, creating a dynamic and inviting environment for guests to enjoy. As a full-service restaurant, Chuy's maintains a strong commitment to quality, flavor, and hospitality, making it a beloved destination for both locals and visitors.
The Restaurant Manager role at Chuy's is critical to maintaining the high standards and energetic vibe that define the brand. This position serves as the operational heartbeat of the restaurant, responsible for ensuring that all aspects of service run smoothly from the guest's arrival to their last memorable moment in the establishment. The Restaurant Manager will lead the team with passion, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach to excellence. This includes managing the bar, lobby, and to-go orders efficiently, all while fostering an environment of teamwork and accountability. The role demands someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, capable of multitasking and maintaining a strong focus on delivering stellar guest experiences. The manager will oversee staff performance, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, and drive results that contribute to the restaurant’s overall success.
Employment with Chuy's offers variable pay dependent on location and comes with a competitive salary structure. Beyond the financial compensation, Chuy's invests in its employees by providing leadership and career development opportunities, reflecting the company’s philosophy of hiring and promoting from within. The restaurant values a casual work environment that encourages employees to bring their personalities to work, enhancing the overall guest experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage (subject to eligibility), paid vacation, parental leave, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. The company also offers an exclusive employee discount program and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to support wellness. This comprehensive benefits package emphasizes Chuy's commitment to employee satisfaction, retention, and growth.
Joining Chuy's as a Restaurant Manager means becoming part of a fun, engaging, and passionate team dedicated to culinary excellence and excellent service. Whether managing front-of-house operations or supporting team members behind the scenes, the Restaurant Manager is integral to sustaining the culture and success of this well-loved Tex-Mex brand. It’s an opportunity for experienced restaurant leaders to thrive, develop, and make a meaningful impact in a celebrated dining destination.
