Job Description
Chili's is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain that began its journey in Dallas, Texas in 1975. Since its inception, it has established itself firmly in the casual dining industry, recognized especially for its signature menu items such as Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, sizzling fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. Over the decades, Chili's has built a reputation not only for its delicious food but also for its vibrant culture of hospitality, fun, and community engagement. The company's commitment to exceptional guest service has made it a go-to destination for diners seeking a lively and enjoyable dining experience. Chili's culture embraces teamwork, accountability, and a dedication to quality, making it a dynamic environment where employees are encouraged to thrive and grow.
The Manager role at Chili's is crucial to the operational success and guest satisfaction of each restaurant. Managers at Chili's are fundamentally wired for hospitality, operating with a passion for connecting with both team members and guests. They play a pivotal role in fostering a support system where teamwork is rewarded, and the contributions of every individual are celebrated. The atmosphere encourages a win-together mindset, where high energy and positivity drive day-to-day activities.
The managerial position is full-time, with an annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $70,000. In this role, managers take charge of leading their teams to deliver an exceptional experience to every guest, every time they enter the restaurant. Responsibilities include overseeing operational and quality standards, ensuring adherence to Chili's systems, and controlling costs effectively. Successful managers demonstrate transparency, self-accountability, and the ability to communicate openly while motivating their teams to embrace change and restaurant initiatives.
This role demands a leader who can balance heart and mind – someone who connects emotionally with team members to inspire and foster relationships and who also applies strong business acumen to achieve financial goals and maintain operational excellence. Managers are expected to lead by example, performing quality line checks, ensuring safe food handling protocols, and upholding Chili’s cultural beliefs, including accountability, food perfection, and the focus that every guest counts.
Additionally, managers are responsible for talent development; hiring, training, retaining, and nurturing team members to step into larger roles. They act as the face of Chili’s within the community, driving guest engagement within the restaurant while cultivating local relationships. This comprehensive leadership position is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess excellent multitasking abilities, and enjoy being dependable team players in a fun and energetic setting. By taking this managerial role, you become a vital part of a legacy marked by a culture of fun, a commitment to service, and a dedication to delivering memorable dining experiences.
