The role of the Restaurant Manager at Raising Cane's entails supporting the Restaurant Leader in overseeing the daily operations within the restaurant. This position holds significant responsibilities in shift management, ensuring Raising Cane's high standards and culture are upheld. The position requires managing multiple restaurant zones effectively during shifts, acting as the manager on duty, and handling opening and closing duties. The Restaurant Manager ensures cash accountability, enforces company policies, and leads and directs crew members to provide exemplary customer service. The physical demands of the role involve working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring extended periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Interaction with customers is also a key element of the role.

The Restaurant Manager also maintains the cleanliness and operational readiness of the restaurant, authorizes certain managerial decisions such as discounts or promotions, and participates in staffing, scheduling, and cost management. Utilizing technology tools for shift documentation and corrective action is critical to success. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • Able to travel as needed for work-related functions and training
  • Must complete all required Raising Cane’s company training programs
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-driven and highly energetic with strong communication skills
  • Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
  • Flexible and highly energetic

Job Duties

  • Ensures operations meet Raising Cane's standards in all restaurant zones during a shift
  • Acts as manager on duty and opens and closes the restaurant
  • Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
  • Enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards
  • Executes shift management meeting Raising Cane's operations and safety standards
  • Uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
  • Directs crewmembers during a shift
  • Provides exemplary customer service
  • Utilizes reward and recognition program for the crewmembers in the restaurant
  • Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval such as discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides
  • Ensures cleanliness of the restaurant and ensures the facility is in good working order
  • Completes other duties as assigned
