The LifeCafe Leader role at Life Time is a dynamic and impactful position responsible for overseeing the complete operation and growth of a specific LifeCafe location. This role demands a hands-on leader who is actively involved in daily activities while driving business results, maintaining high standards of food and service quality, and cultivating an enthusiastic and motivated team. The LifeCafe Leader works closely alongside team members "in the zone," ensuring that all dining operations run smoothly, menu items are prepared accurately and promptly, and that each guest receives exceptional service reflecting Life Time’s values.

Financial stewardship is a critical aspect of this role, as the LifeCafe Leader is tasked with managing profit and loss statements, budgeting, and enforcing cost controls related to food, beverage, and labor expenses. By strategically balancing operational efficiency and superior customer experiences, the LifeCafe Leader contributes significantly to the overall health and profitability of the LifeCafe location.

Leadership development also plays a vital role in this position. The LifeCafe Leader is responsible for hiring, training, and nurturing a team of food service professionals, promoting a growth mindset and fostering a culture of high performance. Emphasizing safety, cleanliness, and security, the leader ensures all operations comply with established protocols through continual inspection and team coaching.

This role requires a leader with strong organizational skills, an ability to perform well under pressure, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation within the food service environment. Employment is salaried, with a starting salary of $75,600 and potential earnings up to $104,000, supplemented by performance-based bonuses. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days nights weekends and holidays
  • Excellent knowledge of cost control labor reporting KPI's
  • Systems oriented and process minded with a strong ability to develop and implement new systems for continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle pressure well and maintain composure in any situation

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent
  • Alcohol safety certification if applicable
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • College degree in culinary business or related field preferred
  • Preferred chef/culinary experience
  • Prior or current business owner experience

Job Duties

  • Oversees front-of-house and back-of-house operations including inventory scheduling payroll and adherence to operational policies
  • Works in "The Zone" alongside the team ensuring quality execution of menu items accurate ticket times and exceptional service
  • Manages business financials including P&L budgeting and cost controls for food beverage and labor
  • Hires trains develops and motivates team members to build a high-performing growth-minded team culture
  • Ensures compliance with all safety cleanliness and security protocols through regular inspection and coaching
