Job Description
Taco Bell is a globally recognized quick-service restaurant chain specializing in Mexican-inspired food such as tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Founded in 1962, Taco Bell has grown into a major player in the fast food industry, known for its innovative menu and vibrant brand presence. As a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Taco Bell operates thousands of locations worldwide, continuously striving to offer exceptional customer service, convenient dining options, and high-quality menu items. The company is deeply committed to maintaining high standards in food safety, operational efficiency, and employee development, fostering a positive work environment where team members can grow professionally.
The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) position at Taco Bell is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of an individual restaurant unit. This role requires a dynamic and hands-on leader who can ensure the restaurant runs efficiently and profitably while upholding Taco Bell's standards of hospitality, product quality, and cleanliness. The RGM takes direct charge of supervising staff, managing labor and food costs, maintaining building standards, and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role also involves hands-on involvement in daily operations, including training employees, addressing guest concerns, and leading by example to instill the right skills and behaviors in the team.
As an RGM, you will drive performance by monitoring key metrics such as sales growth, labor efficiency, cash controls, and customer satisfaction indices. You will be responsible for staffing the restaurant appropriately, managing scheduling needs across all shifts, and conducting performance appraisals for crew and management team members. Additionally, you will lead hiring processes, coach and develop the team, and ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies. Your ability to maintain a clean, organized environment and facilitate a safe workplace for both employees and guests is crucial.
This position demands a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who can motivate the team and cultivate a positive work culture. Taco Bell places great value on a can-do attitude and rapid learning ability in this role, alongside professional integrity and a commitment to operational excellence. Success in this role is measured through various operational targets and standards, including sales performance, quality control audits, labor management, and customer service quality metrics. The RGM role is both challenging and rewarding, offering substantial growth opportunities within a leading global brand in quick-service dining.
