The company is deeply committed to creating a positive work environment where team members are valued, cared for, and empowered to succeed. With more than 70,000 team members, Cracker Barrel has built a culture that supports growth, development, and continuous learning, making it a rewarding place to build a career in the hospitality and restaurant industry.
The role of a Restaurant Associate Manager at Cracker Barrel is essential in delivering the high standard of guest experience and employee care the brand is known for. This position combines leadership skills with hands-on restaurant management, overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. As a Restaurant Associate Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and every team member is supported. This role is pivotal in sustaining the warm, hospitable environment that keeps customers coming back and employees motivated.
Restaurant Associate Managers are people-oriented leaders who drive business results by fostering teamwork, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring quality service. They receive ongoing training and resources supported by a 24/7 home office to help them thrive in managing their teams effectively. The position requires a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple operational facets in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates typically have over two years of management experience in a restaurant setting and a serious dedication to creating memorable moments for guests and a positive working environment for staff.
This role offers tremendous opportunities for career advancement, with almost 100% of General Managers and District Managers having started within the company through internal promotions. The company provides competitive annual salaries, merit increases, and quarterly bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding performance. Employees begin benefiting from medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage from day one, alongside life insurance, disability coverage, paid vacation, and an employee assistance program to support overall well-being.
In addition to comprehensive health and wellness benefits, Cracker Barrel invests in its employees’ futures through a 401(k) plan with company matching, an employee stock purchase program, and tuition reimbursement for continuing education.
