The Restaurant Manager role at PopStroke is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the daily operations and execution of service within the restaurant and golf areas. Reporting directly to the Operating Partner, the Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in supervising staff, ensuring adherence to company standards, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 annually and requires both operational acumen and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will assist in hiring, training, scheduling, inventory management, and enforcing safety and sanitation practices. This role is hands-on, involving opening and closing procedures, running shifts, and providing ongoing direction to team members to maintain high service levels. The Restaurant Manager is also charged with resolving guest complaints effectively, maintaining the professional image of the venue, and working collaboratively with the entire PopStroke team to uphold the brand's reputation as "Best in Class." This role requires a balance of leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive environment where team members thrive and guests enjoy an unforgettable experience. Job Requirements
- bachelor of science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
- minimum of 3 years’ restaurant management/supervision experience in a high-volume environment
- must possess a valid driver’s license
- must be eligible to work in the United States
- must be servsafe certified and uphold all ServSafe guidelines
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- bachelor of science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
- a combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative
- knowledge of computers including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Outlook Calendar
- minimum of 3 years of restaurant management/supervision in a high-volume environment
- proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
- ability to learn maintenance of golf courses, pars and ordering of supplies, staffing levels
- must possess a valid driver’s license
- must be eligible to work in the United States
- self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing
- pleasant, polite manner and neat and clean appearance
- ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure food and service meet appropriate standards
- must be able to handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend solutions to restaurant problems
- must possess good communication skills
- ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage and labor cost while maintaining required standards in daily restaurant activities
- ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants
Job Duties
- support the Operating Partner and Assistant Operating Partner in ensuring that the restaurant and golf operations meet service, sales, and profit objectives and supervise and direct staff in daily work activities
- at all times provide a professional image of PopStroke to promote its “Best in Class” philosophy
- perform opening and closing procedures and run shifts and assist with service as needed
- adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs
- provide the direction and training required to ensure that team members are executing at the highest level for exceptional guest experience
- ensure positive guest service in all areas and respond to complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
- assist with hiring, supervision, and when necessary, termination of employees
