The role of Restaurant Manager I is essential to supporting the Unit General Manager in all areas of operational management. This exempt, full-time position is designed to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant while fostering a team culture that thrives on collaboration, accountability, and excellence. The Restaurant Manager I will contribute actively to achieving financial targets including labor cost control, sales growth, and managing cost of goods sold (COGS). The manager is responsible for overseeing the quality of food and beverage service by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards. This includes supervision of staff during assigned shifts, making sure all team members are adequately trained and performing their duties to the highest standards.

Other critical responsibilities include managing supplier relations by monitoring deliveries and ordering necessary supplies such as food, beverages, smallware, chemicals, and paper products. The Restaurant Manager I will also play a significant role in customer relations, handling complaints promptly and professionally to uphold customer satisfaction and trust. Maintaining safety and sanitation standards is a priority, with the manager ensuring compliance with health regulations and liquor laws where applicable.

Administrative duties such as preparing required paperwork, reports, and employee schedules are part of the role, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The Restaurant Manager I also ensures proper record-keeping and assists with processing invoices through established systems. Maintenance and repair coordination for equipment is managed as needed to support uninterrupted operations. Security, opening and closing procedures, as well as adherence to dress code standards, are also within the scope of responsibilities.

  • Check quality standards on food and beverage deliveries

  • Maintain sanitation standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor staff and customer actions in regard to liquor laws and safety standards
  • Prepare paperwork, reports, and schedules in a timely manner
  • Process invoices through the proper systems
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Maintain opening and closing procedures and security standards
  • Advise concept manager on associate performance
  • Ensure employees follow dress code guidelines
