Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a well-established and cherished American restaurant and retail company that has been serving guests since 1969. Known for its inviting atmosphere, rustic decor, and emphasis on Southern hospitality, Cracker Barrel offers more than just a meal—it provides a memorable experience for every guest who walks through its doors. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, the company prides itself on creating an environment where employees and guests alike feel valued and welcomed. Cracker Barrel's commitment to community, quality food, and unique retail offerings has made it a go-to destination for families, travelers, and locals seeking a home-like, comforting dining experience.

Joining Cracker Barrel as a Restaurant Manager means becoming a leader in a community-focused dining establishment dedicated to excellence in hospitality. This role is not just about managing day-to-day restaurant operations but about fostering a culture where people—both team members and guests—feel appreciated and part of the Cracker Barrel family. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth workflow, effective team communication, and delivering consistently outstanding guest experiences that reflect the company’s motto: Always Serving Up More Than a Meal.

As a Restaurant Manager at Cracker Barrel, you will lead by example, inspire your team, and be the driving force behind the restaurant’s success. This role requires a balance of strong operational management skills and a genuine passion for people-first leadership. You will handle everything from coaching and developing your staff to managing inventory, maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently during busy shifts. Your leadership will directly influence guest satisfaction and employee engagement, helping to create memorable moments that keep customers coming back.

Cracker Barrel invests in its leaders by providing comprehensive training and support tools to help you thrive. The successful candidate will bring at least 2 to 5 years of restaurant management experience, the ability to maintain composure under pressure, and a commitment to fostering a team-oriented environment where hospitality is everyone’s responsibility. This role requires working approximately 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, and necessitates a valid driver’s license. If you are passionate about leading a well-loved restaurant brand and want to build a rewarding career in hospitality, Cracker Barrel offers a unique opportunity to grow within a supportive company that values its people and their contributions.
