Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 5 years of related supervisory experience
- Mandatory valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Basic computer proficiency including POS and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous successful completion of management training program
- Ability to work varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work daily dinner rush shifts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead teams
Job Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years of related experience in supervisory role
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- Strong working knowledge of store operations and management principles including scheduling and cost control
- Basic computer skills including POS and Microsoft Office
- Food preparation skills relevant to restaurant business
- Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and health codes
- Customer-focused with ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Extensive knowledge in customer relations
- Successful completion of company’s management development training program (MIT)
- Position eligible for bonus
Job Duties
- Deliver high quality results through execution of workforce planning: recruitment, selection, onboarding, education and coaching to support standards
- Proficient management of store through application of policies, service standards and continual improvement of standard operational procedures
- Demonstrate effective leadership and efficient labor/team member management: scheduling, monitoring, communication of job expectations, planning, counseling and enforcement of policies and procedures
- Commitment to team building through rapport, support, coaching, delegation of tasks and team development
- Support long-term development of management-level staff, holding them accountable for contributing to team and company objectives
- Build relationships with guests daily and support satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings
- Adhere to and uphold cash handling policies and procedures to ensure proper cash management practices
- Lead store and team to achieve targets through implementation of tools to optimize production, quality guest-service standards and productivity
- Align store to strategic and annual forecasts and budgets, monitor variance analysis to develop financing, establish and enforce financial controls to achieve and sustain targets
- Provide added value by driving brand team initiatives, public and community relation programs
- Develop and implement strategies to support increase of store sales
- Adhere to company service level standards to increase sales and minimize costs
- Manage P&L responsibility including forecasting and adjustments as business conditions indicate
- Control profit and loss by adhering to cash control/security procedures, inventory control, labor management, evaluating financial reports and corrective actions
- Estimate levels of food and beverage costs and work with Home Office for provisioning and purchasing
- Oversee proper portion control and quantity of food/bake goods to minimize waste
- Approximate food needs, place orders with distributors, schedule supply deliveries, monitor inventory through Merit system
- Ensure accurate, timely completion of store financial and payroll duties
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local regulations and laws
- Ensure proper security procedures to protect team members, guests and company assets
- Certify store meets sanitary standards and maintenance to pass regulatory inspections
- Ensure a safe environment to reduce risk of accident/injury
- Maintain excellent communication with Area Director and take corrective actions as needed
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills with coaching and motivation
- Work with Human Resources on time and attendance issues, counseling, ethics, conflict resolution and discipline
- Comply with California wage and hour laws including Polly's meal and rest policy
- Work daily dinner rush shifts and varied hours including weekends and holidays
- Manage a minimum of two closing shifts per week
- Comply with holiday scheduling based on business needs.
