Job Description
Chuy's is an iconic Tex-Mex restaurant founded in 1982 in Austin, Texas, renowned for its made-from-scratch cuisine served in a vibrantly eclectic atmosphere full of color and personality. The restaurant's unique décor features hand-carved wooden fish suspended from the ceiling and bright, shiny hubcaps adorning the booths, contributing to a lively and unforgettable dining experience. Chuy's commitment to delivering not just food but fun, flavor, and fantastic moments has made it a beloved destination for guests seeking authentic Tex-Mex fare paired with a warm, upbeat environment. At the core of Chuy's culture is a dedication to fostering a workplace where energy, creativity, and a genuine love for hospitality thrive. The company values team members who are passionate, results-driven, and eager to grow professionally, making it a vibrant place to launch or advance a career in the hospitality industry.
The Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role as the heartbeat of Chuy's operations. This leadership position requires overseeing all facets of the restaurant experience—from managing the bar and lobby to coordinating the to-go services—to ensure guests feel welcome and cared for from the moment they enter until the last sip of their margarita. The Restaurant Manager leads by example, bringing enthusiasm, dedication, and a commitment to operational excellence to every shift. This role demands a strong sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring that every area of the restaurant functions smoothly and efficiently while upholding the highest food safety and sanitation standards.
Overseeing a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff, the Restaurant Manager is instrumental in driving the restaurant's success through effective leadership, coaching, and development of team members. Chuy's encourages promotion from within, offering leadership and career development opportunities to motivated individuals. This role not only entails managing operations but also fostering an inclusive and supportive work culture that reflects the brand’s values and fun spirit.
Pay for the Restaurant Manager position varies by location, reflecting local market conditions. In addition to competitive salaries, Chuy's provides a robust benefits package that supports employee wellness and work-life balance. With medical, dental, and vision benefits offered subject to eligibility, along with paid vacation and parental leave, Chuy's demonstrates its commitment to valuing and retaining its team. The company also offers exclusive employee discounts, casual work attire, and an employee assistance program geared towards overall wellness.
If you are a dynamic, results-oriented leader with experience in managing high-volume, scratch-kitchen restaurants, and you’re passionate about hospitality and team success, the Restaurant Manager position at Chuy’s offers a rewarding and engaging opportunity to grow your career while being part of a fun and vibrant community. Join the team at Chuy’s and become a central part of an enduring story of flavor, fun, and fantastic guest experiences. Come have some fun on our time!
