Outback Steakhouse invests in developing its employees through continuous learning, fostering an inclusive culture, and encouraging team members to bring their bold personalities to work while delivering exceptional customer service and adhering to strict food quality standards.
The Manager role at Outback Steakhouse plays a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless operation of both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) functions within the restaurant. This position is designed for a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic restaurant environment and takes pride in delivering an AUSS-SOME experience to every guest. The manager is entrusted with overseeing daily restaurant operations, including maintaining the appearance and presentation of the restaurant, upholding rigorous food and safety standards, and leading and motivating a team of employees to exceed customer service expectations.
This is a leadership opportunity that requires both hands-on management and strategic thinking. The Manager will assist with staffing by recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified team members while ensuring that the restaurant maintains high employment standards consistent with the Outback Steakhouse brand. They actively support and participate in career development initiatives for hourly team members, fostering growth and advancement within the company.
Safety and security are paramount at Outback Steakhouse, and the Manager is responsible for implementing effective security protocols to protect both guests and employees. This includes complying fully with operational, safety, sanitation policies, and all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. The Manager ensures all health inspections meet or exceed state standards, securing a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
Customer satisfaction remains a top priority. The Manager addresses guest feedback directly to build loyalty and sustains high service standards throughout the restaurant. Engaging with the community and identifying market-related opportunities are also essential aspects of this leadership role, contributing to the restaurant's sustained growth and reputation.
Preferred candidates typically have previous management experience in a full-service restaurant environment, which may include bar service, and hold certifications in food safety. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to relocate within the assigned region can be advantageous.
