Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience
  • Prior experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop regularly
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively
  • Availability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Compliance with applicable age requirements for alcohol service where applicable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience in a family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant
  • Prior experience recruiting, training, and mentoring staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of food safety and OSHA regulations
  • Basic math, accounting, and computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving and team-building abilities
  • College or culinary schooling preferred
  • Experience with financial and labor cost controls
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and presentation
  • Excellent guest service orientation

Job Duties

  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and laws
  • Recruit, interview, train and mentor employees
  • Assign and direct work duties
  • Appraise employee performance
  • Address complaints and resolve operational problems
  • Coach team members for guest satisfaction
  • Model professional behavior and hospitable atmosphere
  • Assist with floor duties when necessary
  • Execute marketing programs to build sales
  • Champion sales-building activities
  • Maximize table turnover, sales per guest and sales per hour
  • Greet guests and resolve food quality or service issues
  • Maintain efficient operations and control costs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety policies
  • Enforce safe work behaviors
  • Monitor food quality and cleanliness
  • Control cash handling, review financial reports and schedules
  • Manage food costs through recipes and inventory control
  • Monitor labor costs using labor scheduling tools
  • Perform other assigned duties
