Job Description
Raising Cane's is a nationally recognized fast-food restaurant chain renowned for its focus on high-quality chicken finger meals and outstanding customer service. Founded with a commitment to simplicity, excellence, and a strong corporate culture, Raising Cane's has become a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry. The company places a strong emphasis on employee development, operational excellence, and maintaining a positive, energetic work environment that uplifts both customers and team members. Raising Cane's operates numerous locations nationwide, each dedicated to delivering a consistent, superior dining experience that aligns with the brand's core values and standards.
The role of Restaurant Manager at Raising Cane's is pivotal to maintaining the operational standards and culture that the brand is known for. This management position involves supporting the Restaurant Leader by overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring that all zones within the restaurant meet the high standards expected by Raising Cane's. The Restaurant Manager acts as the manager on duty and is responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, ensuring that shifts are executed efficiently and safely. This role requires managing cash handling procedures with precision and accountability, enforcing company policies, and directing the restaurant's team members to deliver exceptional customer service. The Restaurant Manager also plays an essential role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the restaurant facility is in excellent working order.
This position operates in a fast-paced, physical work environment that includes extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, and bending. It requires interaction with customers and involves working inside and outside of the restaurant under varied temperature conditions. Safety is a priority, with exposure to food products, common allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning agents that necessitate the use of personal protective equipment. As a key leadership figure, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for motivating the team using reward and recognition programs, authorizing employee functions such as discounts and timeclock overrides, and completing all designated duties to support the restaurant’s daily operations.
Candidates for this role must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. Strong communication skills, flexibility, energy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential traits. Knowledge of staffing, scheduling, people management, and cost control complements the role's operational demands. Proficiency in technology, particularly Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required, along with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems. This position also requires availability for a variety of shifts, weekend work, and occasional travel for training or related functions.
Employing experienced restaurant managers with a minimum of one year of management experience in restaurant or retail settings, Raising Cane's is committed to providing comprehensive company training programs to support success in this role. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered. This is a critical leadership opportunity for individuals seeking to grow their management career within a respected and rapidly expanding food service brand. The Restaurant Manager not only ensures operational success but also contributes significantly to the welcoming, customer-focused environment that Raising Cane's prides itself on.
