Cracker Barrel is a cherished American restaurant and retail chain that has been serving guests since 1969. Known for its distinctive combination of home-style Southern cooking and unique country store shopping experiences, Cracker Barrel has become a beloved gathering place for families, friends, and travelers alike. The company prides itself on more than just meals; it offers an inviting atmosphere rich with hospitality, warmth, and a sense of community that encourages connection and comfort. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel has built a reputation for being a place where everyone is welcomed and treated like family. Its commitment to quality, tradition, and customer service has positioned it as a notable player in the hospitality industry, dedicated to creating memorable experiences for all its guests.
The role of a Cracker Barrel Restaurant Manager plays a critical leadership function within this vibrant environment. This position is much more than managing the day-to-day operations of a restaurant; it is about embodying the brand's values and delivering exceptional hospitality that goes beyond the expected. A Restaurant Manager at Cracker Barrel oversees both front and back-of-house activities, ensuring seamless coordination between the kitchen staff and the service team to maintain outstanding service standards. This leadership role requires balancing operational efficiency with a people-first approach, demonstrating care and respect towards both employees and guests.
The position involves coaching, developing, and inspiring team members to perform their best while fostering a culture where everyone feels valued. Responsibilities include managing inventory, staffing, and scheduling, ensuring compliance with company policies and health regulations, and constantly working to improve the overall guest experience. The Restaurant Manager is expected to remain composed under pressure, motivating the team during busy periods, and upholding Cracker Barrel's reputation for country hospitality. Candidates with 2-5+ years of successful restaurant management experience who demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality will thrive in this role.
In addition to operational responsibilities, Cracker Barrel emphasizes supporting its managers with competitive compensation, benefits starting from day one, and opportunities for professional and personal growth. This includes merit-based increases, quarterly bonuses, medical and dental insurance, paid vacation, and a 401k plan with company matching. The company values internal promotion and offers tuition reimbursement and development programs to support career advancement. If you are a leader dedicated to making guests and employees feel welcome and appreciated while managing a successful restaurant, Cracker Barrel invites you to join their team and experience the rewarding culture that defines their brand.
