Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and retail chain that has been serving up warm hospitality and delicious comfort food since 1969. Known for its distinctive Southern-inspired menu featuring homestyle cooking, Cracker Barrel also offers a unique retail experience through its country store that includes a variety of gifts, nostalgic candy, and home decor items. With over 70,000 team members across hundreds of stores nationwide, Cracker Barrel has built a legacy rooted in delivering more than just meals — it offers a place for guests to reconnect, where employees take pride in cultivating moments of warmth, friendliness, and exceptional service. The company's focus on community, care, and shared success creates an inviting and supportive environment for both employees and customers alike.

The Restaurant Associate Manager role at Cracker Barrel is a dynamic and rewarding position that combines leadership with hands-on restaurant management. As a key member of the management team, the Associate Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding guest and employee experiences while driving operational excellence to meet business goals. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, including both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring that the Cracker Barrel standard of hospitality remains consistently high.

Working at Cracker Barrel means embracing a company culture that emphasizes care beyond the table: managers are valued not only for their ability to manage operational tasks but also for their dedication to supporting and inspiring their teams. Through ongoing training and development opportunities, Associate Managers gain the resources and skills necessary to be role models, demonstrating leadership that fosters a positive work environment and motivates peers and staff members to excel.

In this full-time position, the Restaurant Associate Manager is expected to work approximately 50 hours a week, spanning five 10-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends as needed. This commitment reflects the company's dedication to maintaining excellent service standards at all times. The role requires a caring attitude, hospitality focus, and strong communication skills, including fluency in English and a valid driver’s license.

Cracker Barrel offers comprehensive benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage, along with paid vacation and an employee assistance program. The company supports career advancement through nearly 100% internal promotion rates for general manager and district manager positions, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities. Employees can also invest in their future with a 401k plan featuring company matching after 90 days and participate in an employee stock purchase program.

Compensation for this role ranges from $19.23 to $23.53 per hour, coupled with merit increases and quarterly bonus opportunities. Additionally, team members receive a 35% discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail items. With 24/7 home office support, managers are well-equipped to succeed and thrive in this role.

Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a company that values inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, national origin, age, marital status, medical condition, disability, or other protected categories by law. Cracker Barrel invites passionate individuals to apply and pursue a meaningful career that lets them make a difference in the lives of guests and fellow employees, sharing in the tradition of good company and heartfelt hospitality.
