The role of the Restaurant General Manager at Pizza Hut is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This role demands a dynamic individual who can balance the needs of customers, employees, and the business to maximize profitability and operational efficiency. As the General Manager, you will provide overall leadership within the restaurant, managing human resources functions including recruitment, training, performance management, scheduling, and ensuring that all team members comply with company policies. You will also serve as the key financial steward of the location, handling inventory control, financial reporting, forecasting productivity, and managing costs associated with sales and labor.

Additionally, you will drive local marketing efforts by executing promotional campaigns that align with broader corporate strategies, while maintaining positive supplier relationships to ensure the consistent availability of quality products. A critical aspect of the role includes enforcing health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both guests and employees. You will also be responsible for directly addressing customer issues to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellent service. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to coach and develop team members effectively. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, is necessary to meet operational demands. Reporting to the District Manager, the Restaurant General Manager plays an essential role in supporting overarching market strategies and achieving business goals at the store level.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a restaurant environment or food industry
  • Previous managerial role experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to coach and train team members
  • Basic proficiency in math and accounting
  • Customer service oriented
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends

Job Duties

  • Provide overall leadership in the restaurants
  • Manage human resources functions such as performance management, scheduling, communication and application of all company policies, recruitment and selection, discipline, coaching and training team members, conduct performance appraisals
  • Maintain all financials including inventory control, forecasting productivity, financial reporting, control cost of sales and labor
  • Attain financial targets
  • Execute local marketing campaigns and implement new promotions
  • Make daily deposits at the bank
  • Manage cash issues, including cash shortages
  • Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Monitor competitor promotions, trends, and growth
  • Maintain highest level of customer service
  • Address customer issues
  • Ensure product quality and proper execution of Pizza Hut standards
  • Order products and maintain supplier relations
  • Support District Manager in the market
