The Restaurant Manager role at Raising Cane's is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in managing day-to-day restaurant operations. This includes ensuring that all activities performed during a shift adhere to Raising Cane's operational standards and culture. The role involves hands-on operational responsibilities such as managing shift activities, overseeing cash handling and accountability, supervising crewmembers, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the restaurant. It also requires an individual capable of handling the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending, as well as working in varied environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors. The Restaurant Manager acts as the manager on duty and holds responsibility for opening and closing the restaurant, authorizing certain employee functions, and executing management tasks critical to smooth and efficient restaurant performance.

This position offers an initial starting hourly pay range between $22 and $22.75, contingent upon factors such as location and experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Completion of all required Raising Cane's training programs
  • Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends
  • Willingness to travel as needed for training and work functions
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving extended walking, standing, lifting and bending
  • Experience in fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment
  • Ability to work under varied temperature conditions
  • Understanding of food safety and related protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology systems quickly
  • Knowledge of staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Self-driven and flexible
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Able to recognize problems and execute plans effectively

Job Duties

  • Ensure operations meet Raising Cane's standards in all restaurant zones during a shift
  • Act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant
  • Manage cash handling and ensure accountability
  • Enforce company policies and standards
  • Execute shift management meeting safety and operational requirements
  • Direct crewmembers effectively
  • Provide exemplary customer service
  • Utilize reward and recognition programs
  • Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness and facility maintenance
  • Complete other assigned duties
