The Restaurant Manager position at KPOT is a full-time role instrumental in driving the success of front-of-house operations at KPOT locations. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, an excellent multitasker, and possesses strong coaching abilities. The Restaurant Manager oversees daily service operations, ensuring the team adheres to KPOT’s high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, safety, and operational compliance. This role requires someone who can balance guest satisfaction with operational efficiency by managing labor scheduling, inventory control, and guest flow effectively. Working closely with the Restaurant Franchise Partner, the manager supports sales growth, manages staff performance, and upholds all regulatory standards including health and safety.

The Restaurant Manager leads through example, actively engaging with employees and customers to foster an environment of exceptional service and teamwork. They conduct pre-shift meetings to motivate and train staff on upselling techniques and brand standards, while monitoring key performance indicators like wait times and table turns to optimize the dining experience. The ability to handle the physical demands of the restaurant setting and work evening and weekend shifts is essential.

In this role, proficiency with POS systems including 7Shifts for scheduling, knowledge of purchasing platforms, and experience in P&L management are critical. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. By maintaining expert knowledge of KPOT’s service model, menu, and operational procedures, the Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in sustaining the brand’s reputation for excellence and continuing its growth trajectory.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management or related role
  • Valid State-Mandated Food Handlers Certification
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work 50-65 hours per week
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with POS and scheduling software
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years leading full-service restaurant operations and bartending, with a hands-on approach to service and team supervision
  • Holds a valid State-Mandated Food Handlers Certification, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Proficient in POS systems, scheduling software (specifically 7Shifts), purchasing platforms, streamlining daily operations
  • Demonstrate clear, high-level communication skills to effectively lead teams and enhance guest satisfaction
  • Solid experience with P&L management, understanding the relationship between sales, labor, and operational costs
  • Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces

Job Duties

  • Oversee front-of-house operations by managing labor via scheduling, bar inventory, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings focused on service, upselling, and brand standards
  • Ensure seamless execution of KPOT service model
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
  • Monitor wait times, table turns, and guest flow
  • Recruit, train, and develop hourly team members
  • Coach and hold staff accountable to performance standards
  • Drive sales growth and local marketing initiatives
  • Maintain expert knowledge of brand standards, plate presentation, recipe adherence, and overall operational procedures
  • Oversee floor operations, shift management, labor cuts, and engage with customers to ensure exceptional service
  • Ensure compliance with all health department regulations
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Franchise Partner regarding daily operations, service standards, and performance
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
