Job Description

Hattie B's Hot Chicken is an independent, family-owned restaurant group based in Nashville, Tennessee, known for its iconic Nashville hot chicken and homemade Southern sides. Founded with a dedication to authentic Southern cuisine and exceptional hospitality, Hattie B's has expanded to several locations, including Nashville, Memphis, Birmingham, Atlanta, Dallas, Austin, Huntsville, Chicago, and Las Vegas. The company prioritizes growing sustainably without compromising its culture, values, or community relationships. Hattie B's is committed to creating a workplace where employees feel valued and empowered, making it a preferred employer in the restaurant industry. Their passion for serving high-quality, crave-worthy food paired with heart and hustle has established them as a popular dining destination with a loyal customer base.

The position of Assistant Manager and Assistant General Manager at Hattie B's Hot Chicken offers a dynamic leadership opportunity in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. As part of the management team, you will play a critical role in supporting daily operations, maintaining the vibrant culture, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role requires energetic, compassionate leaders who thrive under pressure and have a genuine interest in team development and hospitality excellence. Training for this position will take place in Atlanta and/or Birmingham during the summer, preparing candidates for future openings including a new location in Auburn, slated to open later in the year.

Successful candidates will bring at least three years of continuous experience in high-volume restaurant management with a comprehensive understanding of profit and loss management, sales and operational strategies, inventory control, scheduling, team coaching, development, and scratch kitchen/back-of-house operations. You will be responsible for inspiring a team that feels like family, ensuring staff connect with one another and our guests while delivering outstanding service. This role demands maturity, patience, and the ability to maintain a positive, solution-oriented mindset throughout busy and often challenging shifts. You will share managerial responsibilities including opening, mid-shift, and closing duties, working approximately 45-55 hours per week.

Hattie B's is seeking leaders who embody curiosity and take pride in their work, bringing empathy and attentiveness to both staff and guest interactions. The culture at Hattie B's is distinct, fostering an environment where the little things matter, joy is found in feeding people great food, and teamwork is at the heart of every operation. With competitive base salaries ranging between $60,000 and $75,000 plus quarterly bonuses, health insurance, paid time off, and comprehensive benefits, this role represents a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a fun, supportive, and rapidly expanding company. Join a team where your leadership truly makes a difference in a thriving restaurant business that is deeply rooted in Southern tradition and expanding across the country.
