Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by an independent franchisee of Jack in the Box, a well-known fast-food restaurant brand. The franchise operates independently, which means that if hired for this restaurant management position, the franchisee—not Jack in the Box Inc.—will be your direct employer. The franchisee is fully responsible for employment-related matters including hiring, firing, wages, discipline, supervision, and staffing. This means you will be working closely with a locally managed team and leadership dedicated to maintaining high standards and promoting a great work environment within this establishment.

Jack in the Box is a prominent name in the quick-service restaurant industry, known for offering a diverse menu and fast, consistent service. This particular franchise location in Denton, TX, embodies these values while focusing on creating a positive employee culture and delivering excellent guest experiences. The restaurant provides a dynamic work environment where teamwork, community, and customer satisfaction are priorities. As a franchise-operated unit, it benefits from the brand’s national recognition while maintaining the flexibility to adapt locally with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

The role of Restaurant Manager is crucial to the thriving operations of this Jack in the Box unit. You will be entrusted with managing the overall restaurant operations and ensuring that the Service Profit Chain and Brand Promise are successfully executed. This involves recruiting, training, motivating, and developing employees to provide excellent internal and external service. You will play an integral part in fostering an employee-friendly, fun, clean, and safe workplace. Your leadership will inspire high performance in your team, ensuring operations run smoothly and guests receive outstanding service and quality food.

As the Restaurant Manager, your responsibilities will cover staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and meeting financial goals through effective business management. Your role requires daily decision-making discretion to improve guest experiences continually, lead operational improvements, manage costs, and drive sales growth. You will use management information tools to assess performance metrics and implement action plans that align with the restaurant’s goals. Prompt resolution of guest concerns, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, and providing strong role modeling of guest service behaviors will be expected.

Candidates for this leadership role should have a passion for the hospitality industry and customer service excellence. You will demonstrate strong organizational competencies including customer focus, problem-solving, and the ability to handle ambiguity and change with ease. Your ability to develop and coach your team while maintaining accountability and ethical management practices are vital. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk extensively during shifts, lift up to 65 pounds, and operate restaurant equipment.

This position emphasizes ethics, integrity, and the ability to foster a supportive and motivated team environment. You will be expected to drive results while maintaining composure under pressure and face challenges related to staffing and operational demands confidently. The restaurant offers a collaborative environment where your leadership will significantly impact both employee development and customer satisfaction, helping to sustain the reputation of this highly respected brand locally.
