Job Description
Jack in the Box is a well-established fast-food restaurant chain known for its innovative menu items, commitment to customer satisfaction, and strong brand presence across the United States. Founded in 1951, Jack in the Box has grown to be a leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, providing tasty food options, excellent customer service, and a welcoming environment for both guests and employees. The company prides itself on its dynamic work culture, professional development opportunities, and dedication to operational excellence. The Modesto, CA location at 801 Kansas Ave, property number 3468, exemplifies the company’s commitment to quality and customer experience. This restaurant is independently owned and operated, offering a local touch while adhering to Jack in the Box's brand standards and values.
The role of Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box involves overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure outstanding internal and external service, fostering a positive working environment, driving sales and profitability, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This position is critical in leading and motivating the management team and crew members, ensuring that each team member performs to their highest potential. The restaurant manager is responsible for implementing the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and upholding the Jack in the Box Brand Promise, which emphasizes delivering excellent guest experiences, maintaining food safety standards, and operating a clean and safe restaurant.
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be charged with recruiting, training, and developing employees, from entry-level crew members to potential future managers. Leadership skills are essential, as you will motivate the team to deliver superior customer service and maintain a positive, respectful work environment. You will manage daily restaurant activities to achieve operational excellence, analyze financial and operational data to drive improvements, and ensure compliance with health and labor laws. Your ability to handle conflict, inspire others, and adapt to changing demands will be crucial in promoting a culture of success and integrity.
This position requires strong organizational skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to make data-driven decisions. As a restaurant manager, you will also be a role model in food quality and safety, guest relations, and overall restaurant appearance. The role often includes managing the restaurant's financials, including analyzing period reports, health inspections, and sales data to implement action plans for viable growth and sustainability. The position offers an opportunity to grow professionally within a reputable brand while significantly impacting the local restaurant’s success.
The employment is with an independent franchisee of Jack in the Box, meaning that while Jack in the Box Inc. owns the brand, the franchisee operates the restaurant and manages all employment matters, including compensation, scheduling, and staffing levels. This role will offer competitive wages and benefits based on the franchisee’s policies. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who demonstrate leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to service excellence, and who are eager to contribute to a thriving restaurant environment in Modesto, California.
