Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a renowned full-service restaurant chain known for delivering an exceptional dining experience by combining flavorful cuisine with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As a subsidiary of Bloomin' Brands, Outback Steakhouse has established itself as a leader in the casual dining industry by emphasizing high-quality food, excellent customer service, and a culture that values its employees. The brand is committed to creating an environment where team members, affectionately called Outbackers, feel valued, empowered, and proud to be part of something special. Whether guests are enjoying signature dishes or a casual meal with friends and family, Outback Steakhouse strives to provide an AUSS-SOME experience that keeps customers coming back.

The Manager position at Outback Steakhouse is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) functions within the restaurant. This role requires a hands-on approach and limited supervision, with an emphasis on maintaining the restaurant's appearance, presentation, and overall customer experience. As a manager, you will provide professional leadership and direction to employees, ensuring that team members are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with the brand's standards. A key component of the role involves assisting with staffing needs by scheduling, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring quality team members who fit the Outback culture. Additionally, the Manager actively supports the career growth of hourly team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages development and success.

Safety and security are paramount in this position. The Manager implements effective security protocols to protect both employees and guests, maintains compliance with operational, safety, and sanitation standards, and ensures adherence to company policies and federal, state, and local laws. You will also be responsible for guaranteeing that all health inspections meet the required state standards. Additionally, the Manager handles guest comments and feedback to build loyalty and continuously set high service standards for the restaurant. A working knowledge of the entire menu and preparation standards is essential to guide and support the team effectively. The Manager also takes part in community engagement and market-related opportunities, enhancing the restaurant's presence and reputation within the local area.

This position requires a flexible schedule and a minimum age of 21 years. Previous restaurant management experience of at least one year is mandatory, with a preference given to candidates who possess experience in full-service restaurant management, including bar operations. Candidates holding certification in food safety and those willing to relocate within the assigned region will be viewed favorably. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is also considered a plus. Outback Steakhouse offers a competitive compensation package that varies by location, with potential bonus eligibility based on performance and business factors.

Employees at Outback Steakhouse benefit from a comprehensive package offered through Bloomin' Brands, including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a 401(k) plan. The company promotes diversity and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, providing employment consideration without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or other legally protected characteristics. At Outback Steakhouse, you can join for the fun and stay for the career, enjoying a workplace that blends professional growth with an engaging and supportive culture.
