Located at 7519 Laguna Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95758, this restaurant serves the local community with a focus on delivering the signature Del Taco customer experience.
The position available is that of a Restaurant Manager, who reports directly to the Area Director. The Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in protecting and delivering the Del Taco brand by ensuring that all operations align with the company's standards and values. The manager's primary mission is to grow sales while maximizing operational efficiency and profitability through effective leadership and adherence to the Del Taco Way.
This full-time role involves comprehensive management responsibilities ranging from staffing and recruiting to ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining the restaurant's physical environment. The manager will lead a team by creating a culture centered on service excellence, teamwork, and employee development. This involves not only recruiting and retaining quality staff but also ensuring that all team members are fully trained and certified per the current training process.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety, operational efficiency, and customer service. This includes overseeing inventory management to reduce waste and prevent theft, maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness and uniform compliance, and delivering promotions and marketing campaigns flawlessly. The Restaurant Manager must also drive sales growth by setting and communicating sales goals, optimizing staffing according to sales projections, and executing local marketing strategies to boost customer counts and loyalty.
Effective financial management is another cornerstone of this role, with responsibilities including compliance with labor laws, cash handling and auditing, and cost control related to labor, supplies, and repairs. The Restaurant Manager must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to operate under pressure with minimal supervision.
Experience-wise, the ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in the quick-service restaurant industry or a full-service concept, with a solid understanding of food safety certification such as ServSafe. Strong communication skills in English are essential, with Spanish language skills considered a plus. The candidate should exhibit excellent organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and a proven track record of leading and motivating diverse teams, fostering employee development, and promoting career growth.
Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work in both office and restaurant environments, which involve extended periods of standing, sitting, typing, reaching, bending, and lifting. Additionally, travel within the assigned area, including some overnight trips, is expected, and a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance are mandatory.
Overall, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to take leadership in a busy, customer-focused restaurant environment. The Restaurant Manager position is pivotal to maintaining the strong Del Taco brand reputation and driving the restaurant’s success through effective management practices and an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
