The role of a Restaurant Manager at Raising Cane's is pivotal to sustaining this growth and maintaining the high standards that the brand is known for. This position entails supporting the Restaurant Leader in the seamless execution of day-to-day operations while upholding Raising Cane’s distinct standards and culture across the restaurant. A Restaurant Manager is entrusted with responsibilities that encompass managing shift operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and excellent customer service. The role demands a strong presence on the floor, where one acts as the manager on duty and is responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, managing cash handling, and guaranteeing accountability.

This position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, which includes physical elements such as extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and bending. The Restaurant Manager will navigate both indoor and outdoor settings, managing interactions with food products, allergens, and commercial cleaning agents while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. The role is comprehensive, involving enforcement of company policies and standards, supervision and direction of crewmembers during shifts, and the use of various operational tools to monitor performance. The manager also fosters a positive workplace through active utilization of reward and recognition programs that promote employee engagement and motivation.

Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older

  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • detail-oriented and organized
  • self-driven and highly energetic with strong communication skills
  • proficient with microsoft office and adaptable to new technology systems
  • able to travel as needed for work-related training and functions

Job Duties

  • ensure operations meet raising cane's standards in all restaurant zones during a shift
  • act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant
  • manage cash handling and ensure accountability
  • enforce raising cane's policies and standards
  • execute shift management meeting raising cane's operations and safety standards
  • use required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
  • direct crewmembers during a shift
  • provide exemplary customer service
  • utilize reward and recognition program for crewmembers
  • authorize employee functions requiring manager approval
  • ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and ensure the facility is in good working order
  • complete other duties as assigned
