Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant that operates as an independent franchisee of the nationally recognized Del Taco brand. The franchisee, not Del Taco LLC, is the legal employer responsible for all employment-related matters including hiring, firing, wages, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. This independence allows the franchise to tailor its operations closely to local market demands while upholding the brand's established standards. Del Taco is a renowned quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain specializing in Mexican-inspired fast food, known for its fresh ingredients and customer service culture.

The restaurant manager position is a pivotal role reporting directly to the Area Director and is entrusted with protecting and upholding the Del Taco brand values. This leadership role focuses on growing sales and increasing profitability by maximizing operational efficiency and team performance through adherence to the Del Taco Way. The Restaurant Manager will be charged with full responsibility for staffing the store with talented, well-trained staff, fostering a service-oriented and fun team environment, and ensuring all employees are certified per training standards. Their leadership develops team members and future managers, creating a strong, motivated workforce dedicated to delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities extend from executing Del Taco's operational standards—such as maintaining facility cleanliness, equipment safety, and product quality—to aggressively pursuing sales growth through effective local store marketing and customer loyalty initiatives. The Restaurant Manager plays an active role in managing inventory, controlling costs, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and maintaining cash handling standards. This multifaceted role requires balancing day-to-day operational tasks with strategic sales planning and team development.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 to 5 years of experience in the quick-service or full-service restaurant industry, and hold ServSafe certification. They must be fluent in English, with Spanish language skills considered an advantage. Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills are paramount, alongside a proven ability to lead diverse teams, resolve problems efficiently, and operate effectively under pressure. Physical demands include extended periods of standing and potential travel between restaurant locations within the assigned area.

Working for this independent Del Taco franchise offers the chance to join a well-established brand with a clear commitment to equal employment opportunity. The franchise maintains a respectful workplace environment free from discrimination and harassment. With a customer-focused culture and strong operational support, this position provides an exciting opportunity to drive commercial success and career growth within a vibrant QSR environment. Located at 34528 16th Ave S, Federal Way, WA 98003, this restaurant serves a dynamic local market while owned and operated by a dedicated franchisee committed to excellence and community engagement.
