They are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe restaurant facility, ensuring equipment functionality, and delivering only quality products. Customer service consistency, compliance with uniform policies, and correct placement of promotional materials are also key responsibilities.
Achieving or exceeding sales plans is a major focus. The Restaurant Manager identifies sales goals, optimizes staff placement to meet demands, and implements local marketing initiatives to grow customer counts and loyalty. The manager must stay informed about local food industry trends, events, and competitive landscapes to strategically position their restaurant.
Profitability management involves staffing in alignment with sales volumes, strict compliance with labor laws, efficient inventory controls, cash handling accuracy, and safety adherence. The Restaurant Manager performs regular cash audits, vendors management, and cost controls spanning labor, supplies, and maintenance to meet controllable cost targets.
This role requires excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Physical requirements include office and restaurant environments involving standing, sitting, and occasional lifting. Travel within the assigned district, including overnight trips, is expected, necessitating a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
