Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a beloved American restaurant and retail chain that has been a cornerstone of hospitality since its founding in 1969. Known for its warm welcome, delicious food, and nostalgic atmosphere, Cracker Barrel combines the charm of Southern country cooking with an inviting environment where guests feel like family. The company has grown significantly over the decades and now employs more than 70,000 team members nationwide, committed to creating memorable dining experiences and fostering a culture of inclusion and care. Cracker Barrel's dedication to hospitality goes beyond serving meals; it is about making every moment meaningful for both guests and employees alike. This welcoming environment encourages employees to connect, grow, and thrive, creating an enriching workplace where teamwork and respect are essential values.

As a Cracker Barrel Restaurant Manager, you assume a pivotal leadership role that integrates operational excellence with compassionate team management. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and can expertly manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant. This position is much more than managing a restaurant; it is about inspiring a team, fostering a positive culture, and always delivering the high-quality guest experiences Cracker Barrel is known for. You will lead by example, coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential while managing inventory, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a focus on exceptional service standards. Your ability to balance operational priorities with people-first leadership will be crucial in maintaining an environment where employees and guests alike feel valued and cared for.

The ideal candidate for this full-time Restaurant Manager position is someone with 2 to 5 or more years of successful restaurant management experience who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The role requires a flexible schedule, including working 50 hours per week across five 10-hour shifts, with availability for holidays and weekends. A valid driver's license is also necessary. Cracker Barrel supports its leaders with tools, comprehensive training, and a culture that values growth and development. As a manager, you will be empowered to make a direct impact not only on your team’s success but also on guests’ satisfaction, enhancing Cracker Barrel’s reputation as a place where more than a meal is served—where hospitality flourishes and everyone is treated like family.

In return for your dedication and leadership, Cracker Barrel offers a competitive annual salary, merit increase opportunities, quarterly bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package starting from day one. This includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid vacation, and employee assistance programs. The company emphasizes internal career growth, with more than 90% of General Manager and District Manager openings filled by internal candidates. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement, professional development, a 401k plan with company matching contributions, employee stock purchase programs, and employee discounts on food, retail items, and exclusive deals. Joining Cracker Barrel means you're entering a culture of belonging and care, where your contributions are valued and your career path is nurtured. If you’re ready to lead with care, inspire your team, and contribute to a company that values good work and good company, Cracker Barrel welcomes you to apply and join their community.
