Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned restaurant and retail chain that has been serving guests since 1969. Known for its unique blend of southern country hospitality, delicious food, and charming retail offerings, Cracker Barrel has become a beloved destination for travelers and locals alike. The company prides itself on creating a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy hearty meals, discover unexpected finds, and feel at home. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel emphasizes teamwork, respect, and high-quality service as the core of its operations. This large-scale operation combines the charm of a classic country store with the fast-paced demands of restaurant service, making it a dynamic workplace for those passionate about hospitality.

The role of a Restaurant Manager at Cracker Barrel is not simply about managing daily restaurant operations; it is about leading a team that delivers a memorable experience for every guest. As a Restaurant Manager, your responsibilities will encompass both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow that meets the company's commitment to Always Serving Up More Than a Meal. This position demands a leader who is deeply invested in people management — coaching and developing team members, fostering a positive work environment, and exemplifying the brand's values of country hospitality.

Success in this role comes from balancing operational excellence with empathetic leadership. You will oversee inventory management, staff scheduling, and the overall guest experience, all while maintaining a supportive atmosphere where employees feel valued. The Cracker Barrel Restaurant Manager sets the tone, leading by example, and inspiring their team to perform at their best during busy shifts and challenging situations.

This is a full-time position requiring approximately 50 hours per week, typically structured as five 10-hour shifts. Flexibility to work holidays and weekends is necessary to meet operational demands. Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license, as travel between stores or business-related errands may occasionally be required.

At Cracker Barrel, the culture is built around making every workday rewarding — for the guests and the employees. The company offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits from day one, and opportunities for career growth including tuition reimbursement and professional development. Restaurant Managers at Cracker Barrel benefit from a supportive workplace where advancing internally is the norm, with over 90% of general and district management positions filled by promoting from within.

The role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a respected national brand that values care, inclusiveness, and a strong sense of community. Whether you’re passionate about delivering excellent customer service or fostering a team environment that feels like family, the Restaurant Manager position at Cracker Barrel offers a fulfilling and challenging career path with meaningful impact.
