Outback Steakhouse operates with a deep commitment to its employees, whom it affectionately calls "Outbackers," fostering a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and mutual support. This is an Australian-themed restaurant chain that opened in March 1988 and has since become renowned for delivering an exceptional dining experience that feels as warm and welcoming as a home-cooked meal. The company prides itself on treating guests "Just Right," ensuring every customer leaves satisfied by experiencing outstanding service and high-quality cuisine.

The manager will oversee a team with limited supervision and work to inspire and mentor employees to succeed in their roles within a positive and team-focused environment. All new managers participate in a thorough Manager in Training (MIT) program designed to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary for effective restaurant management. The comprehensive training and professional development pathways ensure that individuals joining Outback Steakhouse are well-prepared to excel and progress toward upper management roles within the company.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring optimal profitability through effective labor management and controlling food and beverage costs via precise ordering and inventory practices. The role calls for a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety, including adherence to sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager plays a central role in driving customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent service excellence and fostering an enjoyable dining atmosphere. Business growth is a continual focus through active sales and marketing efforts, as well as recruiting and retaining exceptional staff. The position offers a fantastic work-life balance, with an expected workweek around 47 hours, paid vacation, and a robust benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plans, life insurance, disability coverage, paid sick days, and an employee discount program. This supportive environment encourages long-term career development within Outback Steakhouse's expanding network. Out West Restaurant Group values diversity and equal employment opportunities, committing to an inclusive workplace where all employees have the chance to thrive.
