This comprehensive training is designed to equip new managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in leadership and operational management within the Outback family. The training combines hands-on experience with mentorship and professional development to promote a thorough understanding of company standards, food safety, customer service excellence, and business growth strategies.
In this role, the restaurant manager will be tasked with optimizing profits by managing labor costs and food and beverage inventory through strategic ordering and inventory practices. They will ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory procedures, fostering compliance and safety. Enhancing customer satisfaction is a key focus, achieved by maintaining high service standards and employing innovative sales and marketing tactics to fuel business growth.
Outback Steakhouse also places significant importance on food quality and safety. The manager will oversee sanitation and cleanliness, ensuring that every dish served meets the brand's impeccable standards for taste, temperature, and presentation. The role demands a commitment to maintaining an organized environment where the restaurant looks and feels "like new," contributing to the overall guest experience and operational efficiency.
Aside from professional fulfillment, this position offers a competitive range of benefits that reflect Outback Steakhouse's dedication to the wellbeing and growth of its employees. These perks include health, dental, and vision insurance plans for the entire family, paid vacation, a 401k retirement plan, and paid sick days. The company also provides supplementary benefits such as group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, PerkSpot discounts, and a robust supplemental benefits package. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance with a targeted 47-hour workweek, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking both career advancement and quality of life.
Overall, working as a restaurant manager at Outback Steakhouse means engaging in a dynamic and rewarding environment where professional growth is supported, customer satisfaction is paramount, and the spirit of Australian hospitality is brought to life every day.
