We believe in promoting from within and providing our team members with the tools and training necessary to advance their careers in the hospitality industry. As a part of a dynamic and growing company, working at State of Confusion means becoming a member of a passionate team dedicated to excellence and guest satisfaction.
The Restaurant Manager at State of Confusion plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of the front-of-house and other key areas. This role requires a hands-on leader who is attentive, proactive, and excellent at communicating with guests and team members alike. The Restaurant Manager will partner closely with the General Manager to support programs and systems related to hiring, training, safety, and financial management. This includes managing shift leadership with an open-eye approach, assisting with the successful implementation of Manager in Training (MIT) programs, certified trainer initiatives, injury reporting, and hourly staff management.
Key responsibilities include maintaining quality control on food safety and sanitation, adhering to budget guidelines, addressing guest and team feedback promptly and effectively, and fostering a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and customers. The Restaurant Manager also supports administrative and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in record-keeping and working with various management tools and software.
This role is designed for someone passionate about hospitality who enjoys guiding and developing their team members while maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence. Candidates should have at least one year of management experience in an upscale casual dining setting, have a good grasp of numbers, and possess the ability to coach and cultivate a motivated, skilled team. A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, along with knowledge of food and beverage preparation and compliance with health codes.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, reflecting the active nature of the restaurant environment. In return, we offer a competitive salary plus bonus opportunities, paid time off, health insurance, and ongoing professional development in a growing company that values and supports its employees' career trajectories.
