Job Description
Chuy's is a vibrant and well-established restaurant chain founded in 1982 in Austin, Texas, renowned for its made-from-scratch Tex-Mex cuisine served in an eclectic atmosphere bursting with color and personality. The restaurant's unique ambiance is decorated with distinctive elements like hand-carved wooden fish swimming from the ceiling and shiny hubcaps hanging above booths, creating a fun and memorable dining experience. Over the years, Chuy's has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, fresh food—never frozen—and outstanding guest service, which remains at the core of its mission. The brand prides itself not only on its delicious menu but also on its lively and inclusive culture that encourages fun, diversity, and engagement among team members and guests alike.
Chuy's is currently seeking experienced Restaurant Managers to join their teams across multiple locations. This role is ideally suited for hands-on, hardworking, and fun-loving individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Restaurant Managers at Chuy's are responsible for ensuring smooth and effective operations at their respective restaurants. They lead by example, oversee team member training and development, and maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction, aiming to deliver an experience as exceptional as Chuy's famous margaritas. The position involves managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food safety, equipment sanitation, and quality control while fostering a positive and results-driven team atmosphere.
Compensation varies by location with competitive salaries aligned to the local market, complemented by excellent benefits and opportunities for leadership growth. As a company committed to internal promotion, Chuy's Restaurant Managers enjoy leadership and career development opportunities, helping them build long-term, rewarding careers in the hospitality industry. The casual work attire and employee wellness programs, including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), support a healthy work-life balance and a supportive workplace environment. Additional benefits such as parental leave, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k) plan with employer match (subject to eligibility) demonstrate Chuy's dedication to employee satisfaction and well-being.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about people, excellent food, and fun, looking to grow their careers in a thriving and respected restaurant brand. If you have recent management experience in a high-volume, full-service scratch kitchen, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, Chuy’s invites you to join their team and be part of a unique and dynamic dining experience. Expect a role that is challenging but rewarding, with a culture that values teamwork, community, and delivering memorable guest experiences. This position encourages creativity, leadership, and a commitment to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence while having fun on the job.
