The Assistant Manager role at Bob Evans is an exciting and fast-paced position that supports the daily operations of the restaurant while implementing all company policies, procedures, programs, and systems. This role is critical to the business success as it helps build sales, meet financial goals, and drive restaurant profitability. Assistant Managers are expected to supervise staff by recruiting, training, assigning duties, conducting performance appraisals, and resolving complaints, thereby fostering a positive work environment and ensuring employee success.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • minimum of 2 years experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant preferred
  • availability to work various shifts including weekends
  • compliance with state-mandated age requirements for alcohol service where applicable
  • physical ability to stand for entire shift and walk long periods without resting
  • lifting and transferring up to 50 pounds
  • ability to reach and handle objects and tools
  • ability to bend and stoop
  • ability to taste and smell
  • verbal communication skills
  • visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • able to access all restaurant areas including selling floor, stock area, and register
