Job Requirements
- Minimum two years experience in full service restaurant
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to stand and walk regularly
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- capacity to complete RAMP/TIPS certification within 90 days
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- leadership experience
- knowledge of safety and health standards
- proficiency in scheduling and administrative tasks
- dependability and punctuality
- ability to manage and resolve customer complaints effectively
- familiarity with banquet operations is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Two years minimum related experience in a full service restaurant
- ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance documents
- effective verbal communication skills before groups
- routine report and correspondence writing skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong leadership and supervisory capabilities
- RAMP/TIPS Certificate required within 90 days
- good physical stamina to meet job demands
Job Duties
- Oversees the general functioning of the dining room during meal service and bar service staff during operating hours
- organizes work schedules for employees ensuring appropriate coverage
- estimates and orders food, liquors, wines, beverages, and supplies
- interviews, selects, counsels, appraises performance, disciplines employees
- makes recommendations for hiring and terminations
- conducts departmental orientation for new employees
- conducts walkthrough prior to opening checking for maintenance and dining area setup
- ensures facility cleanliness, organization, and preparation
- ensures meals are served properly according to policies
- assists servers and bus persons to maintain effective service
- monitors food appearance, temperature, sanitation, quality, and portion control
- inspects establishment for compliance with health, safety, and occupational standards
- completes administrative requirements timely
- oversees execution of banquet functions if applicable
