Job Description
Cracker Barrel is a renowned restaurant company known for its unique blend of Southern hospitality, delicious food, and warm, inviting atmosphere. Founded in 1969, Cracker Barrel has grown to become a beloved gathering place across the United States, where guests come not only to enjoy a meal but also to reconnect, relax, and experience genuine country hospitality. The company prides itself on its distinctive combination of a restaurant and retail store, offering guests abundant servings of homemade Southern cuisine as well as a variety of memorable retail items. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel has built a reputation for creating meaningful guest experiences while fostering a supportive work environment where employees can thrive and grow.
This role is for a Restaurant Manager at Cracker Barrel, a leadership position that goes beyond typical restaurant management. As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth daily functioning of the restaurant. Your responsibilities will include managing the guest experience, coaching and developing team members, handling inventory, and maintaining the high standards of hospitality the company is known for. The job requires a strong focus on people—both guests and team members—with the goal of delivering more than just a meal but a memorable experience rooted in care and connection.
In this role, you will be expected to lead by example, inspiring a team of employees to work together effectively under pressure, particularly during busy shifts. You will balance operational duties with a people-first leadership approach, fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and motivated. The company values managers who are steady and supportive, capable of maintaining composure and guiding their teams to success. This position demands a minimum commitment of 50 hours per week, including holidays and weekends, emphasizing the importance of dedication and availability in managing a bustling restaurant environment.
Candidates should have 2 to 5 plus years of successful restaurant management experience, with at least one year at Cracker Barrel preferred, demonstrating familiarity with the company culture and standards. Additionally, a valid driver's license is required due to potential business needs. Cracker Barrel offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary, recognizing and rewarding the hard work and leadership that restaurant managers bring to the company. Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a team that values tradition, quality, and a shared sense of purpose, offering significant opportunities for personal and professional growth within a supportive and well-established organization.
