Job Description
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a wildly popular and rapidly expanding restaurant chain specializing in craveable chicken finger meals. As a leader in the fast-casual dining space, Raising Cane's has built a reputation for great food, a vibrant crew, and a company culture that revolves around the motto: Work Hard. Have Fun. The brand is currently on track to become one of the Top 10 Restaurant Brands in the United States. Known for their exceptional customer service and strong community values, Raising Cane's emphasizes a positive work environment where every crewmember is valued as a vital part of the company's success and rapid growth. This fast-growing chain is not just about serving great meals; it’s about building a passionate team dedicated to excellence and raising the bar in every aspect of the restaurant experience.
The Restaurant Manager position at Raising Cane's plays a key role in supporting the Restaurant Leader with daily restaurant operations. This role is vital for maintaining high operational standards and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for shift management, ensuring that all zones of the restaurant run smoothly and meet the company’s standards. Their duties include acting as the manager on duty, overseeing the opening and closing of the restaurant, managing cash handling processes, and upholding Raising Cane's policies consistently throughout each shift.
Working as a Restaurant Manager at Raising Cane's involves a dynamic and physically active work environment. The role requires spending extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen setting, which includes walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Additionally, the work environment exposes employees to varying temperatures both inside and outside the restaurant. Managers will interact with food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning agents, which necessitates proper use of personal protective gear.
Raising Cane's provides a competitive initial pay range of $20 to $24 per hour depending on factors such as location and experience. This hourly rate is complemented with several attractive benefits, especially for full-time Restaurant Managers. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, pharmacy coverage, flexible spending accounts for dependent and healthcare expenses, company-provided life and disability insurance, and various supplemental insurances like hospital indemnity and critical illness protection. Managers also gain access to a 401(k) plan with employer match (for those aged 21 and older), financial advising for budgeting and retirement planning, and unique perks like gym memberships, tuition reimbursement programs, and assistance programs for personal and family needs—including pet insurance.
The role also offers perks and rewards such as weekly pay (or bi-weekly in select states), competitive base pay plus monthly bonuses, paid time off, sick leave, 8 paid holidays annually (which may vary by location), early closure for company events, a casual dress code, and membership discounts through the Perkspot Employee Discount Programs. Ultimately, the Restaurant Manager is critical to maintaining the brand's renowned culture, ensuring operational excellence, and providing exemplary customer service. This position offers a career opportunity in a growing company that values leadership, teamwork, and professional growth.
