Job Description
Outback Steakhouse is a well-established, full-service casual dining restaurant renowned for its high-quality Australian-themed menu and outstanding customer service. As part of Bloomin Brands, a leading family of casual dining restaurants, Outback Steakhouse has built a reputation for providing guests with an AUSS-SOME dining experience characterized by bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a fun atmosphere. The company values its team members, affectionately called Outbackers, and strives to create a workplace where their personalities can shine and where they feel proud to be part of the team. Outback Steakhouse is committed to an inclusive work culture, emphasizing diversity, respect, and career growth opportunities for all employees across its locations.
The Front of House (FOH)/Back of House (BOH) Manager role at Outback Steakhouse is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience. This position calls for a leader who can manage both the restaurant's front and back-end functions, including maintaining the restaurant's appearance, managing team performance, and supporting customer satisfaction. The manager will have limited supervision, taking charge in areas such as staffing, scheduling, recruiting, and hiring to uphold the brand’s high employment quality standards.
In this role, the manager actively participates in the development and career growth of hourly team members, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to excel in their roles. The manager also ensures compliance with operational safety and sanitation standards, company policies, and all relevant federal, state, and local laws, with emphasis on maintaining health inspection standards. The role also involves implementing effective security protocols to ensure a safe environment for both employees and guests.
A critical aspect of this role includes fostering guest loyalty by responding to guest feedback and setting exemplary service standards for the restaurant. The manager is expected to have a thorough working knowledge of the entire menu and preparation standards to help train staff and improve overall guest satisfaction. The role also involves community engagement and seizing market-related opportunities to enhance the restaurant’s presence.
Outback Steakhouse offers a flexible work schedule and a competitive compensation package that varies by location, including eligibility for bonus opportunities. The company also provides a range of benefits to support the health, well-being, and financial security of its employees, including medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401k plan. Dedicated to equal opportunity employment, Outback Steakhouse encourages applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other legally protected characteristic.
Joining Outback Steakhouse means becoming part of a fun and supportive team culture where career growth is fostered, dedication is recognized, and every day presents new opportunities to make a difference in guests’ lives and the local community.
