The role in question is a leadership position within the restaurant, responsible for assisting in both the financial and operational execution of the entire restaurant operation. This position requires an individual capable of leading and directing teams to uphold service standards and maintain compliance with Sizzler USA Policies and Procedures. The role encompasses overseeing all areas of the restaurant to ensure a safe and sanitary setting for guests and team members alike. Effective management includes addressing guest concerns promptly, fostering positive communication, and creating a productive work environment that balances individual and team responsibilities. Critical competencies include guest service management, communication skills, teamwork, planning, professionalism, quality of work, delegation, safety and security awareness, people management, financial acumen, diversity and ethics, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Candidates for this position must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to high standards in operations and customer service. They will play a key role in motivating staff, managing budgets, optimizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The position also involves regular interaction with guests and staff to collect feedback and continuously improve restaurant operations. The ability to interpret financial data and utilize reports to identify opportunities for improvement is essential.

This role demands physical stamina due to regular standing, use of hands, talking, hearing, occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and the ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to machinery with moving parts, sharp objects, open flames, as well as occasional wet, humid, cold, or hot conditions. Work hours are varied, including weekends and holidays, with schedules based on business needs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of related experience or training
  • Ability to read and interpret financial and written information
  • Proficient in English communication both written and verbal
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions and data
  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and security procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or 2+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Able to read and interpret financial and written information
  • Able to speak and understand English both written and verbally
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Able to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions and data

Job Duties

  • Capable of leading and directing others
  • Follows service standards and sequence of service as outlined in the figure 8
  • Responsible for ensuring that all employees follow Sizzler USA policies and procedures
  • Oversees all areas of the restaurant to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for guests and team members
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Manages difficult or emotional guest situations
  • Responds promptly to guest needs
