Job Description
Olive Garden is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain known for its dedication to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere inspired by Italian hospitality. As part of Darden Restaurants, Olive Garden operates over 870 locations across the United States and Canada, making it a leader in the hospitality industry. The company's core mission revolves around offering quality food and exceptional service while fostering a family-centric culture that values acceptance, support, and strength. Olive Garden has earned a reputation for being a community-focused establishment committed to sustainability, hunger relief efforts, and supporting its employees with comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.
For those passionate about hospitality and leadership, the role of Restaurant Manager at Olive Garden presents a dynamic career opportunity. Restaurant Managers work under the guidance of the General Manager and are responsible for leading their teams with enthusiasm, strategic focus, and a people-first approach. This position requires a strong commitment to service excellence, team relationship building, and operational success. As a Restaurant Manager, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, drive sales growth, ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols, and maintain a positive work environment. Working an average of no more than 50 hours per week with two days off regularly—including one weekend off per month—this role promotes a balanced work-life schedule.
Olive Garden values flexibility for its managers and understands the importance of quality of life, offering up to 3 weeks of paid vacation or flex time within the first year. Additional family-friendly benefits include maternity and paternity leave, adoption reimbursement assistance, and paid time for family care after one year of service. With competitive base salaries plus quarterly bonuses, the compensation is commensurate with experience and location, reflecting Olive Garden’s investment in its leaders' success. Managers become eligible immediately for medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with company-paid short-term disability and life insurance. Moreover, the company encourages staff development through ongoing training and tuition reimbursement programs, fostering career advancement from Restaurant Manager to General Manager and beyond.
Emphasizing community involvement, Olive Garden regularly donates millions of pounds of food to fight hunger, supports employee emergency funds, and invests in local food banks. Safety remains paramount, aligning all protocols with CDC guidelines, ensuring a secure environment for guests and team members alike. Joining Olive Garden means becoming part of "Our Winning Family," where leadership means fostering growth, delivering excellent guest experiences, and contributing positively to your community and workplace culture.
