Job Description

BURGER KING is a globally recognized fast food restaurant chain, renowned for its high-quality, great-tasting, and affordable food. Founded in 1954, it stands as the second largest fast food hamburger chain worldwide. BURGER KING has built its reputation on its commitment to premium ingredients, signature recipes, and family-friendly dining experiences, making it a preferred dining destination for millions every day. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, the brand has continuously evolved while maintaining its core values that emphasize excellent customer service and product quality. BURGER KING operates thousands of restaurants around the globe, creating job opportunities that cater to individuals striving for growth within the hospitality and food service industry.

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at BURGER KING plays a pivotal role as the executive leader responsible for the profitability, guest satisfaction, people management, and operational efficiency of a single restaurant location. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the RGM oversees a team comprised of an Assistant Manager, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and 20-45 team members. This role demands a dynamic leader who can effectively drive financial outcomes by managing the restaurant's profit and loss (P&L) while promoting a culture that prioritizes exceptional guest experiences. The RGM is tasked with motivating the team to deliver accurate, friendly, and prompt service within a clean and welcoming environment. Furthermore, the RGM handles guest feedback proactively, addressing concerns with actionable plans to enhance overall satisfaction.

A significant aspect of this managerial role is people development. The RGM leads recruitment efforts to build and retain a capable team, ensures thorough on-boarding, and fosters continuous coaching and individual recognition programs to boost morale and team performance. Operational responsibilities include managing labor costs through optimal scheduling, enforcing compliance with legal and company policies, and maintaining brand and operational standards. The RGM also steps in to fulfill Assistant Manager and Shift Coordinator duties when necessary to ensure smooth restaurant operations. This position requires availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts and the ability to work long or irregular hours, reflecting the demanding nature of the fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is ideal for candidates with prior restaurant management experience who are eager to enhance their leadership skills and contribute meaningfully to a globally successful brand.
