We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a crucial role that ensures the smooth and efficient operation of daily restaurant activities. The Restaurant Assistant Manager will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including inventory management, staff supervision, payroll processing, vendor relations, and maintaining high standards for safety and hygiene.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of restaurant operations and know what it takes to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who can multitask effectively, communicate clearly with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams, and keep detailed records of operational costs and revenues. Being hands-on and approachable, the Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in onboarding new employees, scheduling shifts, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Availability to work during restaurant opening hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential for this position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant supervisory role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management
  • Strong understanding of food service operations

Job Duties

  • Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices
  • Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders as needed
  • Manage and store vendors' contracts and invoices
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
  • Prepare shift schedules
  • Process payroll for all restaurant staff
  • Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance as needed
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
  • Arrange for new employees' proper onboarding including scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Gather guests' feedback and recommend improvements to menus
